PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGER - NEP Bow Tie

NEP Bow Tie is the premier managed services provider for Parliaments and Government Authorities in the UK.

We are looking for an experiencedProject Delivery Managerto join our successful broadcast engineering and managed service business.  The role will ensure that a number of bespoke software and hardware solutions are delivered to our clients within the timescales and costs agreed and to the quality expected.

This role reports directly to the Managing Director and is based at our Westminster location in Central London, but will also work across our other operations and locations as required.  It suits a candidate that has a an inquisitive mind, enjoys complex problem solving, learning new skills as well as interacting with people at all levels on a daily basis.  Key is the desire and motivation to deliver at the highest level for our clients.

Main contacts:

The Senior Management Team, Key Clients, Client Stakeholders, Subcontractors, Engineering Leads and Project Delivery Teams, as well as the end user Operational Teams delivering the final service.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Working closely with our clients to understand the governance and high-level business requirements for each project.
  • Developing effective working relationships and ongoing management processes for the life of the project.
  • Defining the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project, and managing the analysis, development and delivery phases.
  • Ensuring that the project is delivered within the financial requirements of the Business Unit.
  • Provide hands on leadership, managing complex supplier delivery chains to ensure there is no impact on agreed deliverable deadlines.
  • Estimating and planning projects from start to finish, with built in contingencies.
  • Ensuring projects meet industry leading quality standards.
  • Managing, monitoring and motivating the cross functional team assigned to the project.
  • Conducting project presentations, compiling reports and keeping all stakeholders regularly informed regarding progress with the project.

Skills required:

  • The ability to multi-task and manage a number of concurrent projects.
  • A proven track record of successful software project design, build and implementation.
  • Full Project lifecycle experience (essential).
  • Team management experience, comfortable matrix managing project teams.
  • Excellent client facing skills - able to communicate at all levels: from Managing Director to End User.
  • The ability to foster motivation within the project team to meet tight deadlines.
  • The ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions.
  • The ability to facilitate workshops and chair meetings efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high profile environment.
  • Risk management, stakeholder management, documentation, KPI's etc.
  • Maintaining punctuality and a smart appearance at all times, including wearing company or client uniforms if required to do so.
  • A mature and diplomatic approach in support of our clients.

IT Capabilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of Prince 2 project management methodology (mandatory)
  • Excellent MS Project skills (mandatory)
  • Excellent MS Excel skills (mandatory)

Experience required:

  • A highly experienced and effective project manager with a demonstrable track record of personal performance and achievement.
  • Three or more years relevant experience managing complex projects or programmes where bespoke software products and services were the main deliverables.
  • Pragmatic, practical and results driven. Able to deliver in the face of varied and frequent challenges.
  • Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in the depths of system testing, and at each stage in between.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Project and Prince 2, and both waterfall and agile methodologies.

PROJECT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - NEP Bow Tie

NEP Bow Tie is the premier managed services provider for Parliaments and Government Authorities in the UK.

We are looking for aProject Administrative Assistantto join our successful broadcast engineering and managed service business.  The role will assist in the delivery of a number of bespoke software solutions in addition to maintaining ongoing installation support via our telephone support desk.

This role reports directly to the Production Manager and is based at our Westminster location in Central London, working as part of the administration team running and promoting the business. It suits a candidate that has a an inquisitive mind, enjoys complex problem solving and learning new skills as well as interacting with people at all levels on a daily basis.

Your days of work will normally be Monday to Friday, the hours of work however are unpredictable, since they depend on how our clients' government and corporate business is scheduled. There may also be some weekend working.  Should you work more than five days in one week then you will receive a day off 'in lieu'.

  • Answering the phone and directing calls.
  • Raising purchase orders.
  • Arranging meetings.
  • Filing and paperwork.
  • Sorting and allocating the post.
  • Maintaining and ordering stationary supplies.
  • Booking travel and accommodation.
  • Sourcing pricing and placing orders for jobs and keeping track of the deliveries.
  • General office duties; making tea and coffee, washing up, keeping the office tidy.
  • Understanding of the roster in our scheduling system.
  • Assisting with crew scheduling, planning, visa' etc.
  • Working closely with our management, project teams and clients to understand the business requirements for each project.
  • Assisting in defining the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for each project, and offering support in managing the analysis, development and delivery phases.
  • Supporting the project teams in estimating and planning projects from start to finish, with built in contingencies.
  • Working with a number of cross functional teams assigned to each project.
  • Offering support in the preparation of project presentations, reports and information feedback for stakeholders in the regular updates regarding progress with the project.
