Outside Broadcasts
We specialise in television Outside Broadcast work, primarily
servicing the live sports markets, with music recording for DVD
release (in High Definition) and large one-off annual live events.
All these need an immense amount of technical and logistical
expertise backed up by detailed planning and execution on the
day.
Bow Tie television has built a reputation in
the industry for having talented, well trained staff and always
providing well-specified and well-maintained equipment. In the
sports coverage world, we were the trusted OB provider of club
coverage to five Premiership football clubs, of which the
highlights were broadcast on Sky Sports for a number of
seasons.
In December 2004 we were awarded the Sky Sports contract -
Premier League Darts & Snooker. This has been a very successful
experience for both Bow Tie and also Sky Sports, and has given us a
thorough understanding of all aspects involved in televising the
sport. We have recently renewed this contract and have just
upgraded the coverage to High Definition with 5.1 DolbyE audio
delivery.
We also have thorough understanding of the sport of boxing
from our work with with Setanta Sports and Input Media. We have
successfully completed two seasons of events across the country
from many different venues, with the Calzaghe v Kessler title fight
at the Millennium Stadium perceived as a great success, broadcast
live to 92 countries world wide.
Other recent sports projects completed have been, "Table Tennis
Masters" for Sky, "Cage Rage" a series of live events from Wembley
Arena and Exhibition Tennis from Liverpool.
Bow Tie television has been involved with motor
sport coverage for many years, in particular supplying technical
crew, operators and occasionally facilities to Formula One
Management (FOM). This is a long term relationship that we value
highly and by agreement have a limited ability to publicise.
Since 2004 we have supplied large, 21 plus camera
de-rigs, cable, staff and Engineering Manager for a number of GP2
races in Valencia and across the Middle East.
Further technical success was demonstrated when we facilitated
the first ever 5.1 AC3 Theatrical Dolby surround sound
transmissions live to 162 cinemas across North America and Canada
of David Gilmore playing live in London and launching his new DVD.
We have continued to excel in this field and are now the
broadcast partner of the National Theatre - NTLive season, having
completed the first live transmission of Phedre earlier in the
year. We are working with them on the first season of
live plays to cinemas accross the world in HD with
5.1 theatrical surround sound.
