Bow Tie television has been awarded the
contract to televise the UK Parliament for the
next 5 years.
The highly prestigious contract confirms Bow Tie Television's
position as the premier supplier of this type of
service in the UK. Bow Tie Television has been involved in the
broadcasting of the UK Parliament
since televising began there in 1989, and has been the principal
contractor since 2001.
Bow Tie Television was awarded the Broadcast Operation and
Maintenance Services to the National
Assembly for Wales contract in summer 2010 and has also
held the broadcasting contract with the Greater London Authority since
2006. This is the third UK parliamentary televising contract in a
row to have been won by Bow Tie Television and the first to be
awarded directly by the UK Parliament.
Bow Tie Managing Director John Knopp said: "We're delighted to
have been awarded this new contract which continues our 22 year
long relationship with the UK Parliament and confirms our
position as leaders in the field of televising and
webcasting national and regional assemblies."
Bow Tie's Westminster team provides more than 100 hours
a week of televised coverage from the House of Lords,
House of Commons, Westminster Hall and Committee Rooms.
