About
We are a privately owned company working in a specialised area
of the broadcast sector trading on the quality of our service, the
standard of our staff, our planning skills, and operational
facilities. Our attention to detail contributes to a high level of
repeat business.
There are few, if any, companies that can provide the same
unique level of experience as Bow Tie television
when it comes to operational and technical roles, plus production
and engineering capabilities. Beyond that, Bow Tie
television offers a wealth of broadcast contract
management experience, at secure, high profile sites that also have
substantial heritage considerations.
Our clients consist of a wide range of satellite broadcasters,
terrestrial broadcasters, overseas networks, independent production
companies and, of course, governmental authorities. At all
times, we make certain we have adequate infrastructure and key
personal in place to maintain our service level and, just as
important, our reputation with our clients. Bow Tie
television secures a significant amount of its work
through word of mouth recommendation. When a client has seen the
quality of our planning, technicians, equipment and service
provision first hand we become firm favourites.
We have excellent project management skills, and offer end to
end solutions in addition to the more conventional Outside
Broadcast (if there is such a thing as we think each event is
unique!). We are often called upon to source everything for our
clients from the venue to the final edit and DVD manufacture, with
staging, audience gathering and catering to name a few additions
along the way, again giving us a diverse edge over the competition.
These we always achieve with good humour and a professional
attitude.
We are large enough to perform well on major events but small
enough to care about all our clients and every one of their
jobs!
Recent Changes to the Company Set-up
Bow Tie television limited was formed in 1990
(company registration number 2405231) and is wholly owned by
John Knopp and Duncan Smith. Managing Director, John Knopp,
looks after the day to day logistics and operations, while Duncan
Smith - Sales Director - is responsible for the job costing,
quotations and client contact.
Key Personnel
Bow Tie Television is committed to the long
term training and job satisfaction of our staff. To that end we
have an enviably low employment turnover rate, and indeed are proud
of the fact that our enthusiastic staff, in all areas from
Technical Assistants upwards, respond well to our structured
training and the diversity of work. Our teams are regularly
complimented for their cohesion and excellent client facing
attitudes.
Growth, Development & New Technology Purchases
To further our ability to offer a fully rounded service to our
clients we have now sucessfully leased space on a CDN - Content
Delivery Network. This allows us to web stream and hold origin
storage for our clients and not have to relay on a third party
supplier.
